Changelog
Recent user-facing updates and improvements to World History Explorer.
Ancient Greece Immersive Pack
Four new immersive event experiences — the Plague of Athens, Battle of Marathon, Battle of Salamis, and a fully-authored Acropolis of Athens location. Each features per-phase hero art, ambient audio, eyewitness figures to speak with, and source readings adapted to your reading level.
Greek and Egyptian Mythology Expansion
Seventeen new Greek mythological figures join the compendium alongside fully-authored myth experiences: Pandora's Jar, the Theft of Fire, Persephone's descent, and the Egyptian myths of Osiris's death and rebirth and the Weighing of the Heart. Each myth runs on the immersive phase-and-vantage shell with cinematic art and gallery imagery.
AP US History Content Foundation
Ten historical figures, thirteen events, and twelve locations across United States history added with vision-verified panel art — the foundation for AP US History course content rolling out next.
AP European History Speakers
Renaissance figures across Units 1 and 2 of AP European History are now fully-authored conversation partners, with distinct personas grounded in their period and works.
New Great Works
Five additions to the Great Works collection: the Declaration of Independence, the Gettysburg Address, the Statue of Liberty, the Saturn V rocket, and Mount Rushmore. Discuss each with figures connected to its creation.
Reading-Level Adaptations Backfilled
New location experiences now ship with elementary, middle, high school, and scholar reading-level variants from day one, so the text adapts to your selected reading level across every activity.
Story Mode and Event Panel Polish
Chronological story mode no longer gates progression behind conversations — explore freely. Event panels replaced auto-playing cinematics with a clear yellow "Live Through" call-to-action, and chronological ordering now correctly places Xerxes's Invasion before Thermopylae and Salamis.
Course Reading Materials Enhanced
Historical images from Wikimedia Commons and the Met Museum now accompany reading materials. Primary sources display with a side-by-side layout showing the original document alongside transcription text. Click any image for detailed provenance information.
Reading Progress Tracking
The read progress bar now properly tracks your furthest scroll position and the Read panel fills as you complete materials.
